Bom dia!  How many different words can you make from the word emprego.  E.g. empregado
Tip:  Listening to the radio in Portuguese is very good to help you to ‘tune your ear into Portuguese’  Don’t expect to understand a lot, but focus on things like the adverts (often repeated) traffic (you have an idea what they’re going to say) and news and see if you can pick out words and phrases.

Bom dia! When would I say ‘Com licenca’ during a phone call? no iníco/no fim
Tip: Try to think of all the words you can make from one word e.g. ligar: desligar, ligado, desligado, ligaco… ; comer: comida… infromar: informacao, informado/a…
You’ll start to see patterns to enable you to guess what a word could be, and of course you’re getting lots of words for the work of learning one :)
