You might have already seen Portuguese Language Lessons on Facebook… now I’ve put together this site for everybody to have access to the daily quizzes and tips to help you learn a little Portuguese every day and have a little fun, I hope! The Facebook page has been live for over two years now, and is very popular – over 2,500 likes to date! Go to the daily quiz and tips here to see today’s quiz. (You’ll find the answers posted as a reply)
The focus here is on European Portuguese, and learning the language to communicate in everyday situations. I hope also to pass on some learning tips to help keep you motivated and enthusiastic about your Portuguese language learning.

And if you’re in Central Portugal, you can come to the classes I’m running – in Ansião, Alvaiázere, Chãos and Tomar - and practise speaking and learn the Portuguese you need in a relaxed and friendly environment.

Wow, I am so happy to have found your website! I already liked your Facebook page. You have so many good resources and links. Two of my grandparents were born in Portugal and I have always wished that I was fluent in it. There are a lot of learning programs for Brazilian Portuguese but not nearly as many for continental Portuguese. I spoke it only a little as a child to communicate with my Avo, but would love to learn to carry on a conversation now. Thank you for your site and FB page!

Hi, I am in Manchester, England. I have been to Alvor in the Algarve many times and I now wish to be able to say more than a few holiday phrases. Your site is a great find for me. Please keep up the excellent work.
Parabens Emma for your dedicated effort on this site. I live in London and visit Santarem frequently where I enjoy the sunshine and get some practice in speaking Portuguese. Ansiao and Alviazere are not situated close to my place of stay, but I wish I could pay a visit and join a workshop at some future time.
In the meantime, I am enjoying your daily lessons via FB and the Site.
